The Wainhouse Quality Craftsmanship Guarantee

Terms & Conditions
We believe great furniture should be built to last — in both design and craftsmanship. That’s why all of our pieces come with a 5-year structural guarantee, effective 1st May 2025, giving you peace of mind that your furniture is made to be loved for years to come.
Eligibility
This guarantee is valid for the original purchaser only, so please keep your proof of purchase safe — your receipt acts as verification of your 5-year coverage.
If your item was given as a gift, the same rule applies: we’ll need proof of the original purchase to process any claims.
What's included
Our 5-year guarantee covers the core structural components of your furniture — whether it’s a dining table, kitchen island or bench.
This includes:
- Frames
- Joints
- Hinges
- Handles
We are committed not only to craftsmanship that endures but to an experience of ownership that exceeds expectation. This guarantee is our promise that your furniture will deliver both beauty and performance in daily life — with a standard of quality you can measure.
Enduring Strength & Stability
Each piece is designed to retain its structural integrity for a minimum of five years under normal domestic use. Specifically, you can expect:
- Joints that remain tight and secure
- Frames that resist warping, bowing, or cracking
- Hinges and handles that stay firmly affixed and function smoothly
Designed for Everyday Living
Our furniture is crafted to support real life — elegantly and reliably. You can depend on:
- Surfaces and structures that remain level and stable - free from wobbling or distortion
- A weight-bearing capacity of up to 150kg for dining tables and seating
Lasting Craftsmanship
Our materials and methods are selected for their ability to age gracefully. With proper care, you will enjoy:
- Timber surfaces that maintain their form without splitting or separating
- Hardware that continues to function without degradation or displacement
Should your piece fail to meet these standards within the five-year coverage period — and where usage falls within the terms of this guarantee — we will arrange for full repair or replacement, at no cost to you.
Please note: This guarantee applies exclusively to residential use within the country of original purchase. Terms may be updated at our discretion.
What's not covered
The guarantee does not cover the following:
- Any furniture modified or repaired by someone outside our company
- Accidental, weather or water damage
- Damage due to improper cleaning or neglect
- Wear and tear including dents, scratches, fading, and cracking of wood
- Paint or natural colour changes over time
- Items purchased as ex-display from our showroom

How the process works
If your item qualifies under the guarantee, we’ll aim to repair it wherever possible. All repair work is handled by our in-house technicians.
If an exact match of the original materials is unavailable, we’ll select a suitable alternative that closely resembles it.
We’ll also cover all costs for collection, repair and return.
If repair isn’t an option, we’ll replace the piece with the same or a comparable item of equal value and style. In some cases, this may be an Outlet stock item of similar age and condition.
Please note: third-party labour costs are not included under this guarantee and will be the customer’s responsibility.
If your furniture is repaired, the original guarantee remains valid and will still expire 5 years from the original purchase date.
Due to the natural evolution of materials like timber, paint and fabric, some variation in colour or finish between original and replacement pieces is normal over time.
