When it comes to our furniture, we’re not trying to produce something that’s perfect. Instead, we are focused on injecting character, charm, and uniqueness into our designs using traditional methods and the best, most sustainable materials. Each piece of furniture is individually handcrafted by our team of passionate, highly skilled craftsmen, who carefully select each piece of wood to use in their work.

Ethically sourced, fine wood materials
We are the antithesis of the throwaway culture. Combining quality materials with timeless designs and a natural lean towards functionality gives our furniture a classic British luxury quality that is admired and replicated across the globe. Our materials are sourced from independent British suppliers, who are accredited by the FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and/or the PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). These non-governmental, non-profit organizations were created in response to rapid global deforestation and are on a mission to sustainably manage forests, protecting the Earth’s lungs while still allowing trade to continue. We also collect recycled wood or wood that otherwise would have been disposed of from our local community.
Celebrating local talent
Part of our co-founder Andrew Wainhouse’s goals was to employ local British talent and hone their craft as a response to the UK’s reported shortage of skilled workers, which is partly due to Brexit and the pandemic according to a 2022 article by Furniture News. Our small team consists of craftsmen who oversee the manufacturing and finishing of each individual product, customer service, warehouse workers, delivery drivers (who currently only deliver to our local area), marketing, and finance.
As our team grows, we hope to soon be offering apprenticeship programs and internships, so that the tradition and art of carpentry lives on in the UK.

Something for everyone
Our paint service is an extension of our love for nature and its intrinsic colour palette. Thrilled to be able to celebrate British artistry and craftsmanship even further, we have introduced a range of 16 Farrow and Ball colours across every piece of furniture to inspire you to create a bespoke, heirloom piece.
Spotlight on Cheshire

Our Cheshire Round Table is an example of Wainhouse values. Celebrating the art of traditional craftsmanship and the beauty of oak wood, each dining table is handcrafted by one individual on our team, who takes control over the entire manufacturing process, from choosing which oak pieces to use, to the careful crafting of the table and finally through to its final touches. By crafting our pieces in-house from sustainable materials, our way of approaching furniture results in a smaller carbon footprint, less waste, and a more ethical, heirloom piece.
Our regular colour palette is offered on our Cheshire Round Table, but you can also opt for our signature Weathered Oak colour for an all-natural look.
